    Countryside & Walks West Sussex is famous for it's history, beautiful green hills, verdant hedgerows, beautiful coastline and romantic landscapes that seem straight from a period drama. Arundel itself is located inside the Arun Valley, alongside it's namesake, the Arun River, which nestles between the South Coast and the South Downs National Park. The fields around here may be grazed by Herdwick sheep and Sussex cattle or sometimes by belted Trust’s beautiful Woolbeding Gardens is open for pre-booked visits. Due to limited parking at the site you must book and take a minibus from the Grange Centre car park in Midhurst. and walk along the road. A circular walk around the Banstead countryside, close to Chipstead in Surrey. This beautiful route follows paths through chalk grassland, mixed woodlands and open farmland, all rich habitats for a range of wildlife and flowers. Several of the woodlands are filled with bluebells in the late spring and the chalk grasslands are home to rare plants such as greater yellow rattle and /5(46).
